Knitting needles at the ready - it's time for The Big Knit 2009!
Age Concern and Help the Aged have once again partnered up with smoothie company Innocent Drinks for it's award winning Cause Related Marketing Campaign - The Big Knit. This year there are a few changes and we really need your help to reach our knitting target.
This year, instead of just little hats on smoothies, the project has been expanded to cover two new innocent products. Their new Veg Pots will be wearing Veg Pot Warmers and the new Kids Squeezies will be wearing bigger bobble hats. The woolly wearing products will go on sale in Sainsbury's in November and for each one sold innocent and Sainsbury's will give 35p to Age Concern and Help the Aged towards Healthy Living projects.
Last year the scheme raised over £250,000 and this year we are hoping to beat this.
Age Concern Colchester have been asked to knit cosy winter warmers for the innocent tasty veg pots and we were able to produce 1,171 of these. In addition 849 hats were produced for the Squeezies.
